Quite simply, Black Squirrel Marketing & Communications exists to help make the “how” and “why” of running and marketing your business easier. This is accomplished by listening to you and gaining an understanding of the unique story of your company.

We keep it simple. We offer a free 1-hour listening session. There are no retainers, no upcharges, or hidden fees to pay along the way. You let us know what you need. We produce an estimate or hourly rate that fits within your budget. Then, we get to work! That’s it!

About me

My name is Laurie Armstrong, and I am a life-long resident of Michigan and specifically SE Michigan.

I earned a BS in Public Relations and for more than 30+ years I have been involved in every area of marketing, communications & operations you can name. Industries include: after-market automotive, healthcare, not-for-profit, for profit, service industries, and more.

A sampling of experience includes: corporate & employee communications -- both internal & external; marketing & strategy; direct mail, email & social media campaigns; branding; web content development; crisis media relations; copy writing & editing; and event planning & implementation.

Events include both large and small community-based outreach/events, in addition to internal events like corporate sponsored symposiums, VIP events and celebrations.

I have also developed customer centric programs from scratch with the goal of providing a new or improved customer experience and growing market share.

The hybrid of experience between marketing & operations is what makes Black Squirrel unique!
